Many - in fact, most - of the Scandinavian Scouts were sleeping in tents like these, sort of modern-day teepees.

Very easy to pitch and strike, they are made from lightweight canvas and have a sectional, shock-corded alloy pole. Exceptionally roomy (they sleep eight plus luggage with ease) and easy to ventilate (the top opens up at the pull of a string) , they are a far cry from our old WW1 bell tent which we recently pensioned off!
